I wasn’t sure if this website even needed a privacy policy but better safe than sorry, I guess. Also, who doesn’t love writing privacy policies?
I value your privacy—a lot of companies say this, but what they really mean is usually “We value your privacy, but not as much as we value the money we make from violating it”.
However, I have zero interest in collecting personal information about website visitors, much less monetizing it. Personal information should be treated as a liability, not an asset.
To get some kind of idea whether people like my content or not (because I’m vain like that) I use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service. It doesn’t leave cookies (see Cookie Policy), save IP addresses or use any other means of tracking—every visit is completely anonymous. It’s basically a Geocities hit counter on steroids.
